But Shutterstock has proved that it’s not the well-known faces featured in the video that gained traction and wowed an average audience, but the experiences portrayed. By putting together their own advertisement, Shutterstock emulated the whole experience that Fyre promised using only their own stock images and videos.

Although it doesn’t feature Bella Hadid or Emily Ratajkowski, two of the world’s leading supermodels, it is still enticing, gently nudging you towards the adventures that you’re witnessing on your screen. What people fail to understand is that you don’t need to spend $162,000, what industry experts approximate Fyrestock would have paid for their commercial, to create this enticement. Shutterstock was not only able to get their message across using stock images and videos, but they claim to have spent less than $5,000 to do so.
