It’s that time of the year again! A time for some spookiness and fun! The TechBear team hopes that you’re having an amazing Halloween. This is why we want to share some of our favorite weird websites on this particular day. This time, we’re doing a volume 2 of weird and creepy places on the Internet, so feel free to check out our last year’s collection of sites to scare and entertain you. So, without further ado, it’s time to get spooked out!
1. Simulation Argument
Have you ever wondered whether everything around you and even you were real? Well, that’s some really heavy pondering right there. After all, thinking like that is just a bit of philosophical fun. Or is it? Simulation Argument is a website that will deliver a bunch of studies, scientific papers and research with one goal – to show you proof we aren’t real. Actually, it seems that we’re living in a Matrix-like setting, inside a computer simulation. So, how sure you are of your own existence to take up exploring this particular website just for fun?
2. Feed the Head
Now if you’re looking for an extremely bizarre game that will honestly become scarily addictive in the strangest and a bit unsettling way, most definitely try your luck with Feed the Head game. In the lack of better words, you have to feed the head. But that’s not as easy as it may sound. For those of you who don’t want to try out your own strategies and aren’t too keen on spending too much time on this beautiful and mind-boggling game, you can check the existing guide that explains how to finish the game step by step.
3. 100,000 Stars
This may not be one of the usual weird websites you may expect to explore on Halloween, but we just have to put it on this list as it’s truly remarkable. The website shows the stars of the universe, and you get to explore all of it – even without the TARDIS. The whole experience and atmosphere of this website are both calming and eerie at the same time. It’s difficult to explain but with the universe and stars just a click away, you can see and feel it for yourself!
4. Bloody Disgusting
Do you crave some horror content? If the answer is yes, Bloody Disgusting has got you covered! You can read interviews, check for the most popular horror movies, find information about horror video games and comics, and even learn about some horror-inspired music. But that’s not all. There’s plenty of different content to satisfy your thirst for horror knowledge and reading pastime on a daily basis, not just on Halloween.
5. Angels and Ghosts
A fan of a good ghost story? Well, who isn’t? This is one of the top weird websites if exploring the spirit phenomena is something you find enjoyable and fascinating. Of course, there’s plenty of info about angels, demons and other otherworldly figures. Aside from great stories, you will also find articles, photos, videos, and audio evidence aiming to prove that the spirit realm seems to be much closer than one unsuspecting (un)believer may think.
6. The Outbreak
For a true Halloween experience, surviving the zombie outbreak seems in order. You are the one who makes all the choices in this interactive horror zombie movie. Everything you do or don’t do will decide your fate. Prepare for some quality scare show with this one.
7. The Dionaea House
Check the emails and keep corresponding. You may think this weird at first (after all, you are here for weird websites) but not that creepy, scary or bizarre. Well, the mystery will draw you in gradually. Unfortunately, telling you more than this will reveal too much. But let’s just say that The Dionaea House has everything and more you’d bargain for on this Halloween night. Just, don’t get too engrossed in the correspondence and miss the party.
8. Marble Hornets
If you enjoy spending time on YouTube and are a fan of the notorious Slender Man, the channel Marble Hornets may be your next favorite subscription. Videos are uploaded as “entries” in the style of The Blair Witch Project. The mystery behind the Slender Man (The Operator in the videos) is the main story background. The whole channel is created as an amateur film called Marble Hornets. For lovers of a good mystery and scare, this is a must watch.
9. The House 2
In the last year’s article, we included the horror game called The House as one of the must-visit weird websites and creepy games to try out. So, why not try your luck and endurance with the sequel called The House 2. The setup and the effects are all upgraded compared to the original game but are obviously based on the same story.
The legend has it that there is a house in a small town that has been closed and left empty for decades. The house belonged to a wealthy family. But then, one day, all family members committed suicide. From that time, the neighbors have closed the house for good as they believe that the house is cursed.
10. Ok-su Train Station Ghost
If you enjoyed the terrifying yet brilliant webcomic Bongcheon Dong Ghost we mentioned last year, then you’ll definitely love the Ok-su Train Station Ghost. It may not be as scary as the first one, but the eerie feeling is undoubtedly there. After all, not everything can be as shockingly creepy as Bongcheon Dong Ghost. Ok-su Train Station Ghost is also easier on the eyes with a shorter story. However, it will still give you a proper spook.
